Key responsibilities & Accountability:
We are looking for an Assistant Communications Manager to be part of a small, close-knit, collaborative, and fast-paced team. The role will be responsible for a range of projects both internal and external, focusing largely on Arabic translation as well as writing in Arabic and English for various digital platforms. You will be joining us at an exciting and challenging time as we embark on the delivery of an ambitious change and digital transformation program across the organization. The ideal candidate will be a self-starting, emotionally intelligent professional with a positive, pragmatic outlook, good judgement and a clear focus on results. Excellent writing skills in Arabic and English and the ability to adapt to a wide range of styles is essential to the success of this position. Supporting the Communication Manager with the development and implementation of Julphar's Internal and External Communications strategies. Writing Arabic content that helps tell Julphar's story, while maintaining our house style. Drafting and proofreading content in Arabic and English, for a range of platforms. Ensuring the website, intranet and social media are regularly updated with engaging, relevant content. Generating, editing, publishing and sharing highly engaging multimedia content that builds meaningful connections and encourages interactions. Developing and maintaining close relationships with Arabic and English speaking journalists in the region. Where needed, partnering with other departments to drive and execute internal/external programs and initiatives. Finding opportunities to develop content for internal audiences that align with Julphar's Business Strategy such as internal stories, interviews and videos. Managing and developing Julphar's corporate presentation. Creating and maintaining a social media and editorial calendar with a posting schedule. Proposing new ideas for social media and digital marketing campaigns and strategies. Staying up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, tools and applications. Suggesting and implementing new creative campaigns to develop brand awareness. Continuously capturing and analyzing social media metrics, insights and best practices. Creating and implementing social content strategies for each of Julphar's social media handles. Producing video content for events and digital campaigns. Ensuring website design and architecture is in keeping with latest developments in website technology and is usable across all commonly-used platforms.
Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations or Journalism.
Minimum of 3-4 years of relevant experience. Experience with content management systems. Experience handling multiple projects, process-driven and ability to adapt in a fluid, high-growth environment. Experience in the healthcare/pharmaceutical industry is a plus.Solid translation experience. Proven success and experience working with social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.
Pro-active and positive attitude. Self-driven, proactive and forward-thinking mindset. Strong sense of initiative, both when working independently and in collaboration with a team. Arabic proficiency is a MUST. Non-Arabic speakers will not be considered.
Strong eye for design and aesthetic; photography and photo/video editing skills a plus. Strong organizational skills with high level of attention to detail.Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital media/social media. Excellent writing, editing, copywriting and proofreading skills, accuracy and creativity essential.
