Job Description:
Purpose: The Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) will be responsible for providing variety of internal and external customers with medical and scientific information on the appropriate utilization of specific Julphar products and general information about their therapeutic area and state of diseases. He will proactively build healthcare provided support by using scientific approaches that are aligned with the Company’s objectives and medical plan. He needs to be a credible and valued representative of Julphar in variety of interactions with key stakeholders across the regions.

The position acts as the connection between the healthcare industry and product development. He is a skilled clinical researchers and talented “people persons” who bring the latest research and knowledge of therapeutic specialties to the people who develop therapeutic products.

He will act as conduits of information about new research developments, clinical trial activities and therapeutic approaches. His job involves cultivating and maintaining relationships with academic researchers and leaders, attending conferences and talks, presenting information to pharmaceutical product teams and marketing new therapeutic products to physicians and other healthcare professionals. He may travel often, work intensively with people at every step of the therapeutic product development process and translate dense, academic information into engaging, persuasive messages.
Key responsibilities & Accountability: • Analyzes scientific and medical-related research, trends and practices.
• Provides analyzed information to Julphar and other companies that develop products for the medical industry.
• Compile reports that includes feedback and requests from the medical and/or science community.
• Determines how to best serve the customers based on the reports.
• Responsible for development of partnerships with investigators, opinion leaders and healthcare professionals scientific, evidence based communication and education.
• Responsible for all Clinical trial activities.
• Initiates scientific projects and researches.
• Publishes abstracts, posters, case studies and peer reviewed papers.
• Supports marketing team and their scientific programs.
• Provides Input and/or attendance at medical educational programs, advisory boards, and training.
• Leads and the major source of balances medical information for HCPs and will be capable of issues management and addressing questions about safety and off label use of Julphar products based on available scientific data.
• Involves with supporting formulary submissions for new products in their respective therapeutic areas.
• Identifies and recruits investigators for company sponsored and investigator initiated clinical studies.
• Identifies, establishes and maintains relationships with KOL and stakeholders.
• Communicates and delivers pharmacoeconomic data (including quality, cost and patient outcomes).
• Responsible for internal training and communication of the Medical, Brand Team and Territory Managers.
• Shares knowledge, opinions and site profiling and education of both internally and externally as key area of responsibility.
• Assists the Medical Team in the identification of potential investigators and research projects.
• Assists studies in protocol development, site selection, recruitment strategies, clinical operations collaboration, and communication with the Brand and Medical Advisor.
• Facilitates relationships between product developers and medical industry professionals, including doctors, nurses, pharmacists, researchers and professors.
• Ensures that product developers create the products the medical community needs to provide quality care.
• Trains sales people, provides data to local experts and aid medical and science professionals with resource planning.
• Assists product integration and works with Marketing Team to develop branding and advertisement strategies.

   - Education • Minimum degree of Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, Biotechnology or any related medical science field.
   - Experience: • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the same position gained from pharmaceutical industry.
   - Training:
   - Specialized Knowledge and Skills: • Must have significant therapeutic and clinical-research experience.
• Must have superior interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create and sustain relationships with industry leaders.
• Must be skilled in clinical research and understand the process of research and pharmaceutical product development and approval.
• Knowledgeable and experienced with Pharmaceutical business and market.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills (including ability to network).
• Has proven ability to develop and foster peer-to-peer relationship with stakeholders.
• Demonstrate ability to organize, prioritize and work effectively with minimal supervisions in a constantly changing environment.
• Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.
• Ability to understand and summarize all aspects of clinical trials and papers.
• Ability to research scientific literature, and write reports, papers and research protocols.
• Has solid understanding of GCP an industry code of practice.
